In the frame of cooperation between Egypt and the United Kingdom in the fields of higher education and scientific research; Benha University receives Mr. Cliff Hancock, the Manager of the Higher Education Funding Council for England “HEFCE” on Monday, 02/03/2015 in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the University President; Prof. Dr. Gamal Ismail, the University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development; Prof. Dr. Soliman Mustafa, the University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs; Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches; Prof. Dr. Maher Hasab El Naby Khalil, the advisor to the University President and the Supervisor of the Scientific Researches Unit; and Prof. Dr. Abdel Rahim Shulah, the Executive Manager of the Projects Management Unit.

In the frame of Benha University seeking for openness to the world by the support of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the University President; the University has participated in the annual forum of EURASHE “the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education”. It is worth mentioning that the University has been represented by Prof. Dr. Ghazy Assassa, the Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and the CEO and Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture and the Director of the E-portal. 

On Sunday, 22/02/2015 before the main building and in the presence of Benha University leadership, the University has made a joint pose with the families of martyrs who killed in Libya and to support the procedures took by the Egyptian government.

The Egyptian-French Medical Association in Cairo participates in the World Leprosy Day that will be held for the third time in Benha University on Saturday, 21/02/2015, 10:00am at the Great Hall of Celebrations.

It is worth mentioning that representatives from more than 15 African and Francophone states and from World Health Organization “WHO” will participate in that Day Effectively.

In its meeting on Monday16/02/2015 under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University; the University Council has mourned the martyrs who had been murdered at the hands of terrorism in Libya.

The Council said in its statement which announced by Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din that Egypt faces a battle against terrorism and the national support for our political leadership is an obligation to face extremism and terrorist groups.

It is worth mentioning that the E-portal has got the third place at the level of the Egyptian Public Universities according to Webometrics Global Ranking 2015

 Congratulations to Benha University for this honorable achievement of the E-portal which achieved new global achievement in Webometrics Global Ranking, January 2015. It has got the third place at the level of the Egyptian Public Universities after Cairo and Mansoura and the fourth place at the level of the Egyptian Public and Private Universities after AUC, Cairo, and Mansoura.

 It is worth mentioning that the E-portal has got the 12^th place in the Arab world and the 16^th place in Africa as well as the 1419^th place at the level of the Global Ranking.
